Joyfully Merry!

It is officially Christmas Sunday. I absolutely adore this time of year as everyone reflects on the Savior of the world. I love the Christ-like love that fills the air this time of year. It is so joyful, the most wonderful time of the year!!

Here are some of my favorite quotes about the Savior & the Redeemer.

“Our most prized friend is Jesus Christ Himself.” -Ronald A. Rasband

“Christ doesn’t make up the difference, He makes all the difference” -Brad Wilcox

“It simply isn’t possible to be a disciple of someone you don’t know.” -Sheri Dew

“He lived what He taught.” -Cheryl A. Esplin

“Each of us is an innkeeper who decides if there is room for Jesus” -Neal A Maxwell

“However far we may wander from the path, the Savior invites us to return and walk with Him.” -W. Christopher Waddell

“As you draw nearer to the Lord, He will guide you to become the best version of yourself.” -M. Russell Ballard

As we remember the birth of Jesus Christ, one of my absolute favorite memories is this.

Last year, our little family participated in a live nativity. Words are hard to come by as I choke back tears because it was so so so special.

I think of Mary. I keep thinking of my favorite Christmas song, “Mary, Did You Know?”, this year. I feel like if this was someone literally telling her the miracles that her baby would accomplish, and she was a millennial, she would feel overwhelmed. However, I believe if she did know these things, she would feel uplifted and empowered. Mary was strong. Mary is someone we should emulate; aligning herself so much to God’s will, she sacrificed all (especially her reputation and image in the eyes of others) to bring to pass God’s will.

As a mother, myself, I have come to look up to Mary. She was so strong!

As the 2019 express approaches, I am so excited to learn more about the Savior as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints studies Christ in the upcoming year. I can’t wait to strengthen my relationship with my Brother & can’t wait to be teaching my little one all about Him (stay tuned cause I am plotting some GOOD things with this)!
